Day 2

Breakfast will be served from 08:30 AM. After breakfast it is time to prepare for dive 1: The dives are in general around 1 hour. Lunch is served between the dives.

Dive 1: Check-up dive. Here we explore: cavern zone, the Old main line and Attic line.

Dive 2: Set up dive for the Lips and Spiral circuits.

Dinner will be served around 7 pm. After dinner we have a wide range of activities available, such as: Our sauna, hiking, northern lights scouting (season / weather sensitive), ice fishing, a moose walk or dry caving.

Day 3

Dive 3: The Lips circuit. This is a more narrow side passage with a mail box restriction at the start. The marble walls are surrounding you on all sides, and this is also a good spot for photos.

Dive 4: The Spiral jump, starting after 300m penetration. The Spiral is a gorgeous tunnel spiraling down from the shallow and into the deeper section where the main line is. Jump starting at 6 m and hitting the main line at -24m depth. It starts as a marble passage, and ends in a sandy slope.

Day 4

Dive 5: Chapel dive. On this dive we follow the main line all the way to the air chamber, 450 meters into the heart of the mountain. We have a surface interval with hot chocolate, before turning back. The dive out is done on the shallow route, Frog run, and if we are lucky we see some frogs.

A second dive is optional, but most divers are done for the day after this dive.

Day 5

Explore Plura cave in 3 to 6 dives

Northern Europes largest waterfilled cave, with a massive main tunnel and beautiful air chamber.

Fresh water and good visibility, average 35 meters. 100 Meters in April / March.

Light marble rock passages with nice scolloping. 10 jumps on the first section (470 meters penetration).

For experienced cave divers

Itinerary 2: 5 Cave diving days, 6 nights

An in-depth experience, really get to know the Plura cave

Our second cave diving tour offers the full experience of the first itinerary and two extra dive days that allows you to discover The Chapel as well as the “Big Stroke” and the “Small Stroke” and an optional Mud Run!

Day 4

Dive 6, The Pressure tube Dive, 2 hr dive:
This dive is following the main line into the air chamber, named The Chapel after the Guinness World record wedding that took place in 2019. We swim on the surface in the chamber until we reach the pressure tube at 800 meters inside the mountain, depth 15 meters.

A second dive is optional, but most divers are done for the day after this dive.

Day 5

Dive 7, The strokes:
If you have studied the Plura Cave map, you might have already seen small stroke, big stroke. On day 5 we will be diving small & big stroke.

(side passages)

Dive 8, Mud run (or recapping your favourite):

The mud run is one of the very few places in Plura where you can provoke a complete silt out. The first tunnel goes from 35 meters down to a narrow corner at 40 meters. It then slopes up to 21 meters where it meets the main line.

For the diver in front it is a really nice experience, this part of the cave is dark brown limestone and completely differs from the other sections.

If you are not extremely skilled and aware, this is often more of a ‘blind exit practice’ for the other members of the team.

Not excited? No worries, we can just redo your favourite dive of the itinerary.

Day 6
Departure

Itinerary 3: 7 Cave diving days, 8 nights

Combine Plura with Litjåga cave

A mix & match experience

Our third itinerary is a mix and match of the above two itineraries. We will be combining this with two Litjåga cave dives.

Diving the Litjåga cave is more weather sensitive than diving Plura cave, therefore this booking is a more flexible experience.

We want to ensure that you get the best possible experience and will schedule your stay to include at minimum 7 breathtaking cavedives, as well as two dives in Litjåga.

If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to give us a call, or write Ina (your host) an e-mail at ina@pluravalley.com

For those who can’t get enough

Litjåga cave is more narrow than Plura and has a few restrictions at the start of the cave, but it is an amazing site.
The visibility is always good, and it is a beautiful cave for underwater photography.

Location: 1 hour drive and then a short walk (200 meters) to access the cave
