What can I do in Plura Valley?

In Plura Valley there is a wide range of activities, most of them with the nature in the center. Diving Pretty obviously Plura is a great place for diving, but what more is there to this magical place at the end of the world? Read more about the diving opportunities here. Sauna Relaxing in the sauna is always a god idea. Did you know that the Plura Sauna is considered by our visitors to be the best Finnish sauna in Norway? Book it here!

Dry Caving The Mo i Rana county is considered to be the Cave Capital of Scandinavia, with its more than 240 dry caves. Most of these are not accessible, due to preservation and protection needs. Still we can take you to Jordbrugrotta, a unique marble cave with a river that runs inside. We also highly recommend you to pay Setergrotta a visit in the summer.

Hiking The area around Plura has a wide range of hiking opportunities. One of our favourites is the hike to Sauvasshytta, just a few kilometers away. Climbing Park At Krokstrand Fjellpark , right underneath Saltfjellet, they have a great climbing park only 1 hrs drive away from Plura.   Free Skiing Skiing in the slopes Skillevollen is located right next to the city centre of Mo i Rana, approximately 45 minutes drive from Plura. The info is only in Norwegian, but don’t hesitate asking our staff about the skiing opportunities. If you want a larger ski resort with more slopes Hemavan is the place to go. Hemavan is in Sweden, so you actually get to visit another country on the same go. The drive takes 1 hr 50 minutes, and offers some great mountain scenery on the way.

Pro tip: Fly in to HMV airport and start your holiday in the slopes. We can pick you up from there when you are done, and you can fly home from MQN airport (25 minutes from Plura).
