The Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 percent within your current certification level to a maximum depth of 40 metres.

The course also examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving. This program is designed as a stand-alone course or it may be taught in conjunction with TDI Advanced Nitrox, Advanced Wreck, or Full Cave Course.

Description

Advanced nitrox:
If you have an interest in moving forward with your technical diving education this is the first step. This course is also the foundation for your future possible decompression dives or CCR education.

On this course we go through the physics and physiology relating to diving with gas mixes containing more than 40% oxygen. We go through; Gas planning, dive tables, dive computers, oxygen limitations, nitrogen limitations, Equipment considerations, cylinder labeling, analyzing nitrox mixtures, gas blending procedures, and oxygen service ratings for using gases with more than 40% oxygen.

Prerequisites: Minimum of 25 logged dives

Deco Procdures:
The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 45 metres / 150 feet. The most common equipment requirements, equipment set-up and decompression techniques are presented. Students are permitted to utilize enriched air nitrox (EAN) mixes or oxygen for decompression provided the gas mix is within their current certification level.
